Group of Automorphisms preserving Cosets of a Central Characteristic Subgroup and Related Results

Abstract
A concept of Subcentral automorphisms of a group G with respect to a characterstic subgroup M of Z(G) along with relevant mathematical paraphernalia has been introduced. With the help of this a number of results on central automorphisms have been generalized.
