Self-organization in multi-lane traffic model

Abstract:
Self-organization is a property of many systems in biology, sociology,
economics or telecommunications. Conflicts within the system are resolved
by moving to other territories, networks and channels.
We study self-organization in a model stochastic system of individuals
moving on a circular track. The model is a modification of a system
studied by Goldsztein (2017, 2020) but it cannot be treated by the same method
as it changes the number of states from finite to infinity.
We prove the certainty of self-organization in the system.
Quite unexpectedly, the model leads to generalizations
and connections with other problems.
