Call For PostDoc Position Charles University Prague, Faculty of Mathemactics and Phsyics, the School of Mathematics (www.karlin.mff.cuni.cz) is seeking excellent post doctoral candidates for a one year appointment starting from October 2009. The prospective candidates must: have a PhD (3 years or less) in Mathematics or equivalent degree obtained at any university outside the Czech Republic strong research interest in Mathematics Research areas: general algebraic systems, mathematical logic and theory of complexity computational and numerical mathematics probability, mathematical statistics, econometrics functional analysis and topology mathematical, numerical and computational analysis of PDEs of continuum mechanics, thermodynamics and biothermodynamics and related issues The position offers: 1 year contract starting from October 2009, the contract can be prolongated about 25 000 CZK (equivalent to appr. 1000 Euros) tariff salary ensured accommodation (free of charge) Application details: a CV (including publication record) a brief research description presenting your PhD and related research interests (1-2 pages) your two best publications deadline for applications: June 15, 2009 Additional information: Josef Stepan (stepan@karlin.mff.cuni.cz) The application must be sent by email to: Dr. Milena Stiborova, ovzs@dekanat.mff.cuni.cz |
