Call for papers “New” Europe and Challenges of Sustainable Development The Second Forum of Social Science PhD Students International Conference Bratislava, Slovak Republic, June 5th-8th, 2008 Aims We invite you to participate in the second PhD students' international conference, organized under the auspices of Ms. Brigita Schmögnerová, Vice-President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and President of Proforum Progressive Forum. The conference provides a forum for PhD students from different research areas to present and discuss their research findings. All panels will be chaired by senior academics/researchers who will lead the discussion and give young panelists very valuable feedback on their research. Selected papers will be published in the conference proceedings. In addition to the workshops there will also be a useful network and cultural program for all participants. How to apply Submission is open to any PhD student. Admission is free . Conference attendance is limited to about 40 participants who will be the authors of the accepted abstracts. Please fill in the attached questionnaire and send it along with a short abstract for your paper (500 words maximum, 300 words minimum) to this e-mail address: conference@fes.sk. Accepted applicants will be asked to give a 15 minute presentation at the conference, followed by discussion. From final papers some will be selected and published in a collection of papers after a regular review process. Details related to paper formatting and submission will be announced at the conference.
