Vážení kolegovia, pozývame Vás na seminár Centra pre ekonómiu a financie Fakulty matematiky, fyziky a informatiky Univerzity Komenského. Jeho obsahom bude prednáška: František Brázdik (CERGE, Praha): "Announced regime switch: Are business cycles getting synchronized in transition?" ktorá sa uskutoční v stredu 5.11.2008 o 15:00 hod. v posluchárni C (POZOR opäť ZMENA!) na FMFI UK. Abstrakt prednášky: The novelty of this work is the presentation of the theoretical framework that allows to model announced switch of the monetary regime. In the presented experiment monetary authority announces to follow regime that targets the nominal exchange rate stability in announced number of periods. I analyze effects of choice of the monetary policy regime for the macroeconomic stability over this transition period. In my analysis, representative forms of standard monetary regimes are considered and try to rank them in terms of loss functions. By means of correlations, I tried to analyze the process of business cycles synchronization.
